Early Birthday Celebrations

As I have been informed over and over and by many, Stella has the unfortunate birthday that lands just days after Christmas. It is a whirlwind season anyway and add her birthday in and it is hard to catch our breath. I have always made sure to make a big deal out of it and to also make sure that it is a separate event-no Christmas wrapping paper or decorations. Last year she chose a fairy theme and this year she has chosen butterflies and so the dining room is decorated in pastel birthday colors blanketed in the festive holiday colors of reds and greens in the background!!
She got to celebrate her birthday at school last week prior to vacation and even though it was really early, it was hard not to be moved by the birthday story and seeing her sitting so proud in her lil' rocker patiently waiting to be delivered in my arms from the heavens with gifts from the sun, moon and stars!I have decided to do many mini parties this year so as to try to accommodate the many people she has come to know. The first party here at the house was for her friends that used to attend my home school and it was quite successful indeed with lots of her friends able to attend.
The day leading up to it was a little crazy with me making two batches of home made mac and cheese, a cake and cleaning and decorating the house all with a spur of the moment doctors appt for Stella mid day for what we learned was an ear infection.
We were able to settle in and get prepared for the party after her appt and people began slowly trickling in around 4:30 and we all got caught up with each other.

Abigail and her mom, Laura

Abbey came with her mom, Alexis

Maya came with both her mama, Sonia and her papa, Scott

Jackson and Scott were there too

Stella was so happy to have all her loved ones around and everyone seemed to have a great time. Thank you all who were able to make it and thank you so very much for the thoughtful gifts that she received, she is loving all of them! We are so happy to have all of you in our life!

Happy Birthday, Stella
